IOC Terms It A Memorable Occasion While Extending a Warm Welcome To Rahul Gandhi in London

The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) UK members and Indian Diaspora gathered in London to welcome Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who was touring London after the successful Bharat Jodo Yatra.

During his visit, Rahul Gandhi addressed students at Cambridge University, attended an Indian Diaspora conference at a hotel near Heathrow airport and criticized the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to Rahul, Indian democracy is under attack under Modi’s rule.

At the conference, the IOC members spoke about a new yatra called ‘Hath Se Haath Jodo’. The yatra was launched to help people of the country come together to fight the BJP’s communal policies.

Today, Rahul will be visiting the Chatham House in central London and also attending an event organized by the UK Labour MP Virendra Sharma in the House of Commons Committee room.

The visit of Rahul Gandhi has been met with a lot of criticism from the Modi government and BJP supporters who believe that it is wrong to criticize India from a foreign land.
