Taiwan Observes Chinese Aircraft And Vessel Movements

On Saturday, Taiwan detected 9 Chinese military aircraft and 5 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Friday to 6 am on Saturday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, none of the aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

No aircraft entered Taiwan’s Air Defence Identification Zone.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “9 PLA aircraft and 5 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”

Earlier on Friday, Taiwan tracked 26 Chinese military aircraft and 5 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Thursday to 6 am on Friday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, 17 of the aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The aircraft also entered Taiwan’s northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “26 PLA aircraft and 5 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6a.m.(UTC+8) today. 17 of the aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan’s northern and SW ADIZ. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”

Since September 2020, China has increased its use of gray zone tactics. This includes incrementally increasing the number of military aircraft and naval ships operating around Taiwan.
