WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram
Social media applications of Meta – Instagram, Facebook and messaging app WhatsApp went down in US. About 13000 users reported the issue on Monday. As per the reports, around 5,400 and 1,870 users faced outages on Facebook and WhatsApp, respectively. This outage has affected a lot of people in the United States. It is the second incident in a month.
Just last month, the users of Facebook and Instagram faced such and outage. After two hours of the outage, Meta stated that services on its social media apps Facebook and Instagram were restored. Although the outage was not global as the applications were working fine in several nations such as India.
Given the improvement in reliable information sources and increased public knowledge of COVID, the Facebook parent company asked its independent oversight board for advice in July of last year on potential adjustments to its existing strategy.
According to the outage-tracking website Downdetector.com, last time, approximately 20,000 people overall reported experiencing problems accessing Facebook, Instagram, and Meta’s messaging service WhatsApp. According to the business, problems with Meta’s Ads Manager, the platform that allows businesses to buy and generate Facebook ads, were also fixed.
Many people faced difficulties because of the same, when it comes to Instagram and Facebook, it is a favorite past time of the people. When it is about WhatsApp many people faced difficulties because of the same. It is because WhatsApp is used as a document-sharing application. When it comes to WhatsApp, it is useful in formal office culture as well.
Meta being such a huge organization cannot afford to have two consecutive outages in a month’s time. They need to look better into their already existing applications so that they perform better.
