The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab, Pakistan, announced on Monday that seven terrorists were killed during an operation in the Mianwali district.
The operation, based on intelligence reports, took place in the Makerwal area late on Sunday night, resulting in a firefight between the militants and CTD personnel. While seven terrorists were killed in the exchange, eight accomplices managed to escape under the cover of darkness, according to the CTD.

Authorities seized a significant cache of weapons during the operation, including six hand grenades, seven Kalashnikov rifles, live ammunition, and explosives.
The bodies of the deceased terrorists have been transferred to a hospital for autopsy and identification. In response to the incident, a search operation has been initiated to locate and apprehend the fleeing militants.
