Luna-25, the lunar mission of Russia which was to soft land on the surface of moon on 21st of August. This was approximately, 2 days ahead of Chandrayaan 3, which is India’s lunar mission. In an unfortunate course of events, the moon mission crashed onto the surface of moon prior to its landing date. Russian scientist who worked on the lunar mission couldn’t take the crashing of Luna-25 well. He was rushed to hospital due to his condition.
A leading astronomer, Mikhail Marov, has seen a “sharp deterioration” in his health as a result of the Luna-25 mission colliding with the lunar surface, ending decades of planning and research. One of Russia’s most esteemed physicists and astronomers, Marov, 90, is said to have served as a significant adviser on Putin’s missions.
He had contributed to earlier Soviet Union space flights, and he considered the Luna-25 mission to be the pinnacle of his professional career. Russia, which launched the first man into orbit during the Cold War in the 1950s, was swiftly surpassed by the US in space exploration after sending a man to the Moon in 1969.

The Luna-25 launch, which would have marked the first Russian Moon landing in 47 years, was personally ordered by Putin. This was a component of Putin’s strategy to elevate Russia to the top scientific power. The unmanned spacecraft, however, lost control and plummeted onto the lunar surface. Putin is anticipated to dismiss those he believes to be to fault for the failed lunar expedition.
