Russian President Vladimir Putin Likely To Visit India Soon, Says Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India soon, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday. He confirmed that preparations for the visit will start shortly but did not share exact dates.

Peskov noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Russia twice, making Putin’s visit to India a priority. “Our leaders exchange visits. We attach great importance to this moment,” he said.

Modi Receives Key Updates on Ukraine Conflict

Peskov said Modi gets direct information on the Ukraine conflict from Putin. He stressed this helps Modi assess the situation without external propaganda.

He praised India’s efforts to mediate in the conflict. “President Putin values Modi’s role in promoting peace and appreciates India’s contributions,” he added.

India-Russia Defense Ties Grow Stronger

Peskov highlighted India’s access to advanced Russian defense equipment at competitive prices. “India buys the best technologies at better prices,” he said. He called this a result of their strong bilateral relationship.

He also stated that Russia is ready to help improve ties between India and China. “We are friends with both New Delhi and Beijing. We support efforts to normalize relations between them,” Peskov said at a meeting on India-Russia media cooperation.

Putin’s upcoming visit will further strengthen India-Russia relations in diplomacy, defense, and global peace efforts.
