Russia Launches Drone Attacks On Kyiv Overnight

Officials reported Thursday that Russian forces carried out nocturnal drone attacks on Kyiv, extending a month-long campaign of air strikes against the Ukrainian capital.

According to Military chiefs, Kyiv’s air defences destroyed all of the drones during the three-hour air bombardment, the twelfth this month.

Serhiy Popko, the city’s military administration chief, stated that Russia again attacked Kyiv from the air.

According to the statement, “The attack was massive”.

“The enemy continues to use attack tactics in several waves, with intervals between groups of attacking drones”, the statement added.

Popko went on to say that all detected air targets moving in the direction of Kyiv were destroyed by Ukrainian air defence systems.

As per the preliminary information, the strikes were carried out with Iranian-made Shahed drones.

Air alerts have also been issued in Kharkiv and Chernivtsi.
