PTI Plans Weekly Protests Outside Islamabad High Court

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi announced weekly PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ) protests demanding timely hearings for Imran Khan’s cases.

Afridi addressed party workers and declared the peaceful demonstrations would occur every Tuesday outside the Islamabad High Court premises. He instructed lawmakers to join the protests consistently and represent their constituencies with responsibility and visible determination.

Afridi emphasised continued pressure on authorities through coordinated mobilisation, urging strict attendance from national and provincial assembly members.

He directed PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja to ensure full parliamentary participation during the scheduled weekly demonstrations.

Following the High Court protest each Tuesday, lawmakers will march toward Adiala Jail with Imran Khan’s sisters included.

Afridi stated their peaceful movement will persist until Imran Khan receives justice and delayed hearings resume without obstruction. He pledged personal weekly visits to Adiala Jail every Thursday to monitor conditions and support their detained leader.

Afridi also announced an upcoming political gathering in the provincial capital aimed at energising PTI supporters effectively.

PTI leaders recently condemned the alleged mistreatment of Imran Khan’s sisters near Adiala Jail during their attempted visit.

Haleem Adil Sheikh described police actions as violent, unjustified and reflective of deep institutional moral deterioration within authorities. He said Noreen Khan was allegedly dragged, while Aleema Khan was reportedly manhandled by deployed law enforcement personnel.

Sheikh claimed both sisters were forcibly taken away and abandoned far away, violating dignity, rights and essential constitutional guarantees. He argued that state violence against women exposed governmental insecurity and moral decline, intensifying PTI’s resolve to continue peaceful resistance.
