Prince Harry Reveals Why He ‘Smothers’ His Children With Love In An Online Therapy Session

“I smother my children with love and affection”, said Prince Harry, adding that he is putting in the work to end the impact caused by the Royal Family’s multi-generational lack of physical touch.

Prince said, “I have never got such affection he never got from my father while growing up”.

Prince Harry’s mother Prince Diana died in a car crash in 1997, a year after her divorce from then-Prince Charles. Harry was 12 when she died.

During an interview with trauma expert Dr. Gabor Maté, Prince Harry discussed the impact of the Royal Family’s multi-generational lack of physical contact and hugging.

Further, Prince Harry said, “I feel a huge responsibility to not pass on any traumas or negative experiences I had to his two children”.

Dr. Gabor Mate diagnosed Prince Harry with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) during the session, leaving the royal stumped.

ADD is a childhood condition that can last into adulthood which manifests as difficulty in paying attention and impulsive behaviors.

Dr. Mate said, “I made the diagnosis after reading ‘Spare'”.

The doctor further said, “Whether you like it or not, I have diagnosed you with ADD”.

“You can agree or disagree. I don’t see it as a disease. I see it as a normal response to abnormal stress,” Dr. Mate added.

Prince Harry just said, “Okay”.

Harry further said, “I definitely don’t see myself as a victim. I get a huge amount of healing by helping others. I don’t know if that was my purpose but it was the way I was brought up”.

However, Prince Harry did say that elements of his royal upbringing were incredible, but others were incredibly painful.
