President Xi Jinping Meets Bill Gates In Beijing

On Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping informed his American friend Bill Gates that China had always placed its hopes in the people of the United States.

“You are the first American friend I have met in Beijing this year”, President Xi said to Gates.

“We have always placed our hopes on the American people, and hoped for continued friendship between the peoples of the two countries”, Xi remarked.

“I am delighted to see you. We have not met in over three years”, he allegedly told Gates.

President Xi further said, “You are someone who has done a lot of good things in your participation in China’s development work, and you are our old friend”.

Gates, one of the world’s richest men, is among a number of Western business titans to visit China since the nation lifted tight Covid regulations that had effectively cut it off from the rest of the world for nearly three years.

This is Gates’ first trip to China in four years.

Gates introduced his thoughts on the current situation and future of cooperation with China during his meeting with Xi.

“China has made enormous achievements in poverty alleviation and combating the Covid-19 pandemic, setting a good example for the world”, he remarked.
