President Joe Biden Tests Negative For COVID, But US First Lady Is Positive

The White House confirmed that US First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for COVID on Monday. Joe Biden, the president of the United States, tested negative for COVID.

The first lady, 72, is suffering from only mild symptoms, according to her office, and will remain at the couple’s residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Jill Biden last tested positive for COVID a year ago.

The White House stated President Biden, 80, was given a COVID test Monday evening and tested negative, adding that he will continue regular testing and be monitored for symptoms.

In recent weeks, the United States has seen an increase in COVID cases and hospitalizations.
