As part of his diplomatic visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented two thoughtful gifts to the Vance family, including a special jigsaw puzzle for Ewan Blaine Vance, the son of Vice President JD Vance, and a handcrafted wooden railway toy set for Vivek Vance, Vice President Jane’s other son.
The jigsaw puzzle, designed to celebrate India’s rich artistic heritage, features several iconic folk painting styles from different regions of the country. It offers a unique opportunity for young Ewan to engage with traditional Indian art while enjoying a fun, educational activity.
The puzzle showcases Kalighat Pat Painting from West Bengal, known for its bold outlines and vibrant colors that often depict gods, myths, and social themes.

Another feature is the Santhal Painting, created by the Santhal tribe, using earthy tones and natural pigments to illustrate tribal life, rituals, and nature.
Additionally, the puzzle includes Madhubani Painting from Bihar, celebrated for its intricate patterns, bright colors, and mythological or nature-inspired motifs. Together, these diverse art forms provide a fascinating glimpse into India’s cultural richness and artistic traditions.
Meanwhile, for Vivek Vance, PM Modi gifted a wooden railway toy set. Crafted from natural wood, the toy is painted using eco-friendly vegetable dyes made from plants, roots, and flowers. The vibrant colors of yellow (turmeric), red (beetroot), blue (indigo), and green (spinach or neem) reflect India’s deep connection to nature and sustainability.
This wooden toy set combines nostalgic charm with environmentally conscious craftsmanship, embodying both creativity and India’s long tradition of wooden toy-making.
