Rather calling Saudi Arabia, an oil supplier to India ranking number two, would be more appropriate. Saudi Arabia recently has surpassed Russia for coming down to the ladder number three.
Becoming Russia’s No. 2 oil buyer India has again initiated maintaining strong relationship with Russia opposing American will. China and many other petrol buyer countries have cut purchases from Russia post Moscow invasion to Ukraine this year.
Now around 863,950 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil is being purchased by India from Saudi Arabia.
This happened after a gap of three months when Saudi Arabia overtaking Russia emerged as the second-biggest oil supplier to India. Though the margin is just a thin level still the ranking now respects Saudi Arabia on the ladder two.
As per the industry data and trade sources, in the ranking slot Iraq holds the first place retaining the top spot last month as per the in August.
