Donald Trump has dismissed his possible indictment as he used his first presidential campaign rally in the 2024 election to target his political competition.
Speaking to the media in Waco, Texas the former president said, “The district attorney of New York under the auspices and direction of the ‘department of injustice’ in Washington DC was investigating me for something that is not a crime, not a misdemeanor, not an affair.”
According to the investigation conducted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a $130,000 payment from Mr Trump’s office to the adult film actress Stormy Daniels in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election.
While using a derogatory name for the actress Daniels, Trump said, “I never liked ‘Horse Face’.”
He added, “That wouldn’t be the one. There is no one. We have a great First Lady.”
Moreover, he also said that he would be arrested last week, warning that his accusation (indictment) could result in “potential death & destruction,” apparently from the angry supporters of the former president.
Donald Trump would become the first former or sitting President to ever be charged with a crime if the grand jury convened by Attorney, Alvin Bragg decides to indict.
