On the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day, the iconic Burj Khalifa was lighted in tricolor colors on Tuesday.
Aside from the tricolor, the world’s tallest building displayed the phrases “Happy Independence Day to Mother India” and “Long Live India UAE Friendship”.
It also included a photograph of Mahatma Gandhi and the quotes ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Jai Hind’.
Meanwhile, Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, tweeted his greetings to India on Independence Day.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum tweeted, “As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my congratulations to the leadership and the people of this great nation. On this joyous occasion, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to building a future of shared prosperity and growth, elevating our partnership to new heights, and exploring new horizons of political, economic, and cultural relations. Happy Independence Day, Swatantrata Diwas!”
Earlier in July, the Burj Khalifa was lit up in tricolor to greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was visiting the UAE.
Burj Khalifa, a soaring skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is one of the city’s major attractions.
Meanwhile, India’s 77h Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and a vivid display of culture and diversity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort for the tenth successive time.
PM Modi’s message emphasized a number of achievements over the last few years, highlighting India’s success in multiple sectors.
