The Karachi blast occurred around 11:00 PM local time when a convoy from the Port Qasim Electric Power Company was targeted near Jinnah International Airport. A significant explosion followed, engulfing several vehicles in flames, according to police reports.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a banned militant group, claimed responsibility for the attack via social media, although Pakistani authorities have yet to confirm this.
