Joe Biden
US President Joe Biden, who declared his re-election bid last month, stated that his age has provided him with insight.
In an interview since officially announcing his candidature last week, Biden said, “I have acquired a hell of a lot of wisdom and know more than the vast majority of people”.
Biden, a Democrat who would be 86 at the end of the second term, further said, “I’m more experienced than anybody that’s ever run for the office. And I think I’ve proven myself to be honorable as well as also effective”.
With the exception of the occasional joke, Biden has rarely addressed his age, which is widely regarded as his major disadvantage among voters.
Kevin O’Connor, the president’s physician, examined Joe Biden and came to the conclusion that “the President remains fit for duty, and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations”.
O’Connor claimed in a letter that Biden also had an ‘extremely detailed’ neurological examination, the results of which revealed no brain disorders or motor impairments.
Additionally, any neurological conditions including Parkinson’s Disease were ruled out for him.
In 2024, he might face Republican Donald Trump, who is now 76.
