Israeli Military Claims Death Of Over 20 Hezbollah Militants In Beirut Strikes

The Israeli military announced that it has killed more than 20 Hezbollah militants of various ranks during recent airstrikes in Beirut, which also resulted in the assassination of the group’s top leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In a statement, the military identified several key figures among the deceased, including Ibrahim Hussein Jazini, director of Nasrallah’s security unit, and Samir Tawfiq Deeb, a longtime adviser to Nasrallah.

The military also reported the deaths of Abd al-Amir Muhammad Sablini and Ali Naaf Ayoub, who were responsible for Hezbollah’s force build-up and firepower, respectively. These individuals were located at Hezbollah’s central headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut at the time of the strikes, which leveled a multi-storey building.

On Sunday, Israel intensified its military campaign, conducting further airstrikes in Beirut and around the airport area, targeting Hezbollah’s chemical industry expert, as reported by Israeli state-owned Kan TV.

The military stated that its fighter jets also struck southern Lebanon, targeting rocket launchers aimed at Israeli territory, weapons storage facilities, and other Hezbollah infrastructure. The military highlighted that warplanes launched fresh strikes on 45 sites in the Kafra area of southern Lebanon.

In response, Hezbollah fired approximately 10 rockets toward northern Israel, specifically the western Galilee and Haamakim regions. Some of these projectiles were intercepted, according to the Israeli military.

The ongoing conflict continues to escalate, raising concerns over the potential for further violence in the region.
