Rescue teams from the Civil Defence and the Lebanese Red Cross worked to transport the deceased and injured to hospitals in the cities of Tyre and Nabatieh, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
In response to the airstrikes, Hezbollah released statements indicating that its Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Israeli military positions, launching rockets at the Zebdine barracks in the occupied Shebaa Farms, as well as Israeli soldiers in the villages of Labbouneh and Markaba, and a gathering point in Khallet Wardeh, Lebanon.
The recent escalation comes after a series of intense air attacks by the Israeli army on Lebanon, which began on September 23. Tensions have surged since October 8, 2023, as Hezbollah and Israeli forces have engaged in cross-border exchanges of fire.
