Explosions Heard In Ukraine’s Kyiv Following National Air Raid Alert

On Friday, several explosions were reported in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv after officials issued a nationwide air raid alert.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko advised residents to stay in air raid bunkers.

According to Kyiv city officials, the air force reported that Russia had launched hypersonic missiles against the Kyiv region.

On Telegram, Klitschko wrote, “Explosions in the city. Stay in shelters!”

He stated that bits of a crashed missile had landed on the grounds of a children’s hospital in the city, but that no injuries or damage had occurred.

Media in the capital heard explosions but were unable to confirm their precise location.

Suspilne, a National television broadcaster reported explosions in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi’s centre and western regions.

According to a Khmelnytskyi official, air defences were active in the area.
