Explosion In Moscow Kills Nuclear Protection Forces Cheif Igor Kirillov

In a shocking development for Russia, countries nuclear protection force’s chief Igor Kirillov lost his life in an explosion that took place in Moscow on Tuesday.

News agency Reuters reported that high ranking general, who is the chief of Russia’s Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical protection troops, succumbed in an explosion that took place outside a building on Ryazansky Prospekt, near the Kremlin.

As per the information received from Russian investigative agencies, the bomb was hidden in an electric scooter. The explosion of the bomb resulted in the death of General Kirillov and another person.

Notably, Kirillov was announced attacked and killed the day after Igor was charged in absentia with the use of banned chemical weapons in Ukraine.

Ukrainian prosecutors charged  Kirillov with the alleged use of a banned chemical weapon in Ukraine, the Kyiv Independent reposted, Ukrainian security service said. However, Russia had denied the allegation.

“Igor Kirillov, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, and his assistant were killed,” an investigative committee was quoted as saying by news agency Reuters.
