Elon Musk tweeted: “And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” indicating that he was seeking to alter Twitter’s logo. The billionaire owner of the social networking site added in a tweet at 12:06 a.m. ET (04:06 GMT) on Sunday: “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live worldwide tomorrow.”
The X app, which is being spoken about by billionaire Elon Musk, will be able to do much more than just give users a platform to express their opinions with the world. Musk has frequently expressed his ideas for the X app, which might be used to link people, facilitate payments, allow for online meal ordering, etc. Additionally, Twitter and the X app were formally combined in April of this year. Simply put, Twitter was no longer identified as Twitter Inc. in legal documents and was instead known as the X Corp.
Musk shared a picture of a flashing “X” but provided no other information. An inquiry for comments was not immediately answered by the business. The company changed its name to X Corp under Musk’s turbulent leadership after he acquired Twitter in October, indicating the billionaire’s ambition to develop a “super app” like China’s WeChat.
On its website, Twitter claims that the blue bird in its emblem is “our most recognizable asset,” adding, “That’s why we’re so protective of it.” The Dogecoin Shiba Inu dog temporarily took the place of the bird in April, which helped raise the meme coin’s market value by as much as $4 billion. The most recent issue for Twitter was a lawsuit that was filed on Tuesday, according to which the company owes former employees at least $500 million in severance pay.
Since Musk purchased the business, it has fired more than half of its employees in an effort to reduce costs.

Musk tweeted, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” without providing any other information on his plans or a schedule. Does this indicate that Twitter is closing down then? No, it is not shutting down, to which the response is no. Musk is merely discussing platform rebranding. The platform will still be available to you, but it won’t have the recognizable blue bird logo any longer.
The owner of Twitter hasn’t yet addressed the domain or if Twitter.com will remain active or not. The team may need some time to switch to an other domain, though, given how valuable the current domain is. Therefore, the rebranding might take place far earlier than the domain change.
