Egypt receives a list of 14 hostages from Hamas to be freed today

Egypt has received a list of 14 hostages to be released from the Palestinian group Hamas on Saturday.

Earlier on Saturday, Israel announced that it had received a list of hostages to be released from Gaza by Hamas on Saturday.

On the second day of a truce deal, Israeli authorities stated that 14 hostages held in the Gaza Strip following the Hamas strike on October 7 would be released on Saturday, along with 42 Palestinian prisoners.

Prison authorities claimed 42 prisoners, both male and female, will be released under the terms of the agreement, which calls for three-to-one exchanges, while an Israeli official source said 14 hostages would be handed over.
