Earthquake in Pakistan
The National Centre for Seismology said that in the early hours of Wednesday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 occurred in Pakistan.
The depth of the earthquake, which struck at 2:57 am (IST), was determined to be 105 km.
The National Centre of Seismology shared on social media platform X, “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.5, Occurred on 20-03-2024, 02:57:11 IST, Lat: 29.74 & Long: 65.93, Depth: 105 Km, Location: Pakistan.”
Pakistan was shaken by a 4.7-magnitude earthquake last month.
Pakistan was hit by an earthquake in January that measured 4.3 on the Richter scale.
In the same January, Pakistan was rocked by another earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0, as reported by Dawn and the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
According to the report, there were tremors felt in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and Lahore and its environs.
