Earthquake Of 7.0 Magnitude Shakes Indonesia’s Bali Sea Region

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) detected a magnitude 7.0 earthquake in the Bali Sea region of Indonesia on Tuesday.

According to the EMSC, the centre of the earthquake occurred 201 kilometres north of Mataram, Indonesia and 518 kilometres (322 miles) below the Earth’s surface.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) estimates the magnitude to be 7.1.

The quake struck 525 km beneath the centre near Bangsal, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the US Tsunami Warning System said that there were no threats of a tsunami as a result of the deep sea earthquake.
