‘Duchess Of Sussex’ Dons Princess Diana’s Diamond Cross Necklace

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, wore a sentimental necklace from Princess Diana during her trip to Nigeria to honor her. Meghan donned the neckpiece at a reception for military families in Abuja, Nigeria.

Harry gifted the necklace, which contains a diamond cross on a gold chain, to his wife. It was previously owned by Princess Diana.

The Duchess of Sussex often pays tribute to Harry’s mother through fashion, and she possesses numerous pieces of jewellery from the late Princess of Wales, such as butterfly earrings and an aquamarine ring.

Prince Harry also famously used two diamonds from his mother’s collection in the tri-stone engagement ring he designed for Meghan when he proposed in 2017.

King Charles and Princess Diana paid an official visit to Nigeria in March 1990.
