After Intense Courtroom Session In Hush Money Case, Donald Trump’s Next Hearing Set In December: Reports

After the intense courtroom session where the United States former president Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to the 34 criminal charges against him, New York’s Manhattan court has called Trump for the next in-person hearing on December 4, said media reports.

Donald Trump’s next hearing is in December

During the dramatic courtroom session, he left the courtroom without making any statements. The indictment against Trump alleges that he was involved in a conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election.

Moreover, it alleges that the editor-in-chief and CEO of the National Enquirer approached Michael Cohen shortly after the Access of Hollywood tape became public in October 2016. This case is popularly known as the ‘Hush Money Case.’ Later on, Cohen said that adult film star Stormy Daniels was claiming she had an affair with Donald Trump.

In the indictment, Cohen also said that Donald Trump negotiated a hush-money payment with Daniels to “secure [Daniels’] silence and prevent disclosure of the damaging information in the final weeks before the presidential election.”

According to the media reports, the prosecutors said that the former president, Trump was part of the plan to suppress negative information, including an illegal payment of $130,000 that was ordered by the defendant to suppress information that would hurt his campaign.

Earlier on Tuesday, the former president surrendered to authorities at a court in Lower Manhattan ahead of his arraignment.

‘Can’t believe it’s happening’

Upon his arrival in the Lower Manhattan court, Donald Trump posts an enigmatic post that the experience is “SURREAL.” He also added “WOW, they are going to ARREST ME. Can’t believe this is happening in America. MAGA!”

Donald Trump is set to be fingerprinted as a part of this arrest, although it’s still vague whether his mugshot will be taken or not. He will next be brought to a courtroom, where he will be arraigned- an appearance that is expected to be quick and routine but represents a surreal and one of the historic moments in the United State’s history.

Not Guilty!

Ahead of the upcoming presidential polls, Trump who will be the face of the Republican nomination, has denied any wrongdoing and called the investigation and the indictment a partisan attack. Bragg is a Democrat.
