The Yogi government has successfully implemented the PM Vishwakarma Yojana in its mission to uplift marginalized communities in Uttar Pradesh. Over 2.7 million residents have applied for the scheme, with a three-tier verification process underway to ensure eligible individuals receive training and loan assistance.
A total of 2,747,017 people applied online through the PM Vishwakarma Portal. The verification process has completed the first-level review for 1,732,536 applications, the second-level for 209,172, and the third-level for 80,844. Kaushambi leads the rankings in the second phase with over 80% verification, followed by Ghaziabad, Balrampur, Firozabad, and Fatehpur.
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s guidance, the scheme offers benefits like skill development, toolkit incentives, and credit assistance. Beneficiaries will also receive a PM Vishwakarma certificate, ID card, and loans of Rs 100,000 and Rs 200,000. So far, 7,606 loan applications have been submitted, with 2,457 approved and 1,326 disbursed.
