NIA Raids In UP, Detained Three Youths: Student From Prayagraj Was Preparing For Judicial Exam

Prayagraj: NIA conducted raids in two cities of UP, Prayagraj and Maharajganj on Friday. This raid was conducted in the case of Red Urban Naxal funding. The action which started at 6 am continued for about 7 hours. NIA interrogated about the members of Inquilabi Chhatra Morcha in Prayagraj. One student was detained. At the same time, two youths were detained from Maharajganj.

In Prayagraj, the team reached the Colonelganj area of ​​the city. Here, Devendra Azad, associated with the Inquilabi Chhatra Morcha, was questioned. During this, he is  preparing to become a judge was also detained.

NIA also questioned a student originally from Agra. The lodge located in Govindpur area of ​​Shivkuti police station area was searched. The student is preparing for PCS-J. NIA raided the lodge at 6 am and questioned him for several hours. After this, the team also took the student to other places. It is being told that the student is in contact with Devendra Azad.

NIA raided Karamhiya village in Nichlaul police station area of ​​Maharajganj. Here NIA, along with SWAT team and local police, raided the house of a young man. The house was searched thoroughly for about 4 hours. During this the team also questioned the young man’s family
The person whose house was raided in Maharajganj is said to be Chhedi Gupta. After investigation, Chhedi’s son Jitendra Gupta was taken into custody and the team reached Doma village of Musahar Basti. Jitendra has a medical store here. A young man has been detained from here as well.

At present, the local police is refusing to say anything. Police says that NIA can hold a press conference in Delhi regarding this action. If sources are to be believed, NIA is conducting raids at other places on the basis of information provided by the youths detained from Prayagraj and Maharajganj.

Maharajganj SP Somendra Meena said- the matter is confidential. The NIA team has taken the suspects with them for questioning.

Earlier also raids were conducted in Varanasi, Deoria, Chandauli, Prayagraj and Azamgarh. Today also action was taken against suspected Naxalites in these districts.

Actually, Naxal organizations are engaged in gathering training and other items for anti-national activities. The investigation team has collected electronic evidence like mobiles, laptops, pen drives, and SIM cards of such members, which are being investigated.
Earlier in September, 2023, NIA had conducted raids in these districts of Purvanchal. A raid was conducted at the house of a BHU student in Varanasi, who was associated with an organization named Bhagat Singh Morcha. Apart from this, these raids were conducted in 8 districts like Deoria, Chandauli, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Azamgarh.
