Groom On Horseback Leads Wedding Procession Of Luxury Cars Through Busy London Intersection

A striking video capturing a traditional South Asian wedding baraat at a busy London intersection has gained widespread attention online. The clip, filmed at Manor Park, shows the groom riding a decorated white horse elegantly, accompanied by an escort leading the animal.

Behind the groom, a procession of luxury vehicles, including Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz models, follows closely.

Passengers in the cars enthusiastically wave colourful smoke bombs from windows and sunroofs, filling the air with vibrant plumes.

The convoy also features loud honking, creating a festive but chaotic scene in the bustling area.

Social Media Reacts with Criticism & Curiosity

The video quickly went viral, drawing a range of responses from viewers. Many expressed disapproval of the display in a public space, questioning the appropriateness of such a procession in London’s busy streets.

One viewer questioned the tradition behind the event, asking, “Is anyone actually impressed by this? Is it an Indian or Pakistani tradition?”

Another commented, “It would look much better in your own country,” reflecting frustration over the spectacle disrupting daily traffic.

Some posts suggested the wedding party showed little respect for others, with one person remarking, “The people behind the cars cannot see properly. If English people did this, they would probably get arrested.”

Many people widely assumed the group’s cultural background was South Asian, specifically Indian or Pakistani.

This is not the first time a wedding procession has disrupted London’s roads.

A few months earlier, a video circulated showing a groom attempting to navigate heavy traffic on foot to rejoin his wedding procession, or baraat. Such events highlight ongoing tensions between cultural celebrations and public road safety in busy urban areas.

Wedding traditions continue to blend with modern city life. As a result, communities and authorities face challenges in balancing cultural expression with public order.
