Delhi Weather Today: IMD Forecasts Light Rain And Cloudy Skies Across NCR

Residents across the National Capital Region (NCR) can expect pleasant weather over the next week as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts persistent cloudy skies, light rain and drizzle across the region.

The weather will bring much-needed relief from the recent spell of intense heat and high humidity, although the IMD has ruled out the possibility of heavy rainfall for now.

According to the forecast, cloudy skies will dominate Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and nearby areas throughout the week.

Light showers and drizzle at isolated places will help lower daytime temperatures and reduce humidity, making conditions more comfortable.

On Friday, the maximum temperature is likely to reach 35°C, while the minimum will remain around 25°C.

Humidity levels are likely to range between 60 and 80 per cent, with light rain possible in a few areas.

The IMD expects similar conditions on Saturday, with temperatures between 24°C and 36°C.

Cloudy skies will persist, and isolated spells of light rain or drizzle may continue.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature could touch 37°C, while the minimum is likely to stay near 25°C.

Even with the slight rise in temperature, cloud cover and brief showers are expected to keep conditions relatively pleasant. Humidity will remain between 60 and 70 per cent.

The IMD expects this weather pattern to continue through the following days. Maximum temperatures are unlikely to exceed 36°C, while minimum temperatures will hover between 25°C and 26°C. Light rain and overcast skies will continue across much of the NCR.

The weather department attributed the lack of heavy rainfall to subdued monsoon activity.

Intermittent showers and widespread cloud cover will keep temperatures in check and provide sustained relief from the oppressive heat and humidity that residents have experienced in recent weeks.
