Still Carrying Two Chargers? itel Has A Simple Solution

itel has announced that all its feature phones will now come with USB Type-C charging, replacing the older Micro-USB (Type-B) port across its entire lineup.

The move brings the latest charging standard to the brand’s affordable devices and aligns them with most modern smartphones.

By adopting USB Type-C, itel aims to simplify charging for users, allowing them to use a single cable for both their smartphones and feature phones.

As USB Type-C has become the standard connector for most new mobile devices, the change will likely improve convenience and reduce the need to carry multiple chargers.

The USB Type-C connector also offers several practical advantages over Micro-USB. Its reversible design allows users to plug in the cable from either side, eliminating the hassle of finding the correct orientation.

The connector is also designed to be more durable, making it better suited for everyday use.

The announcement reflects the broader industry shift towards USB Type-C as a universal charging standard.

Several smartphone manufacturers have already adopted the technology, and itel is now extending the same convenience to its entry-level feature phones.

The company said the transition forms part of its strategy to bring modern features to budget-friendly devices without compromising ease of use.

With USB Type-C charging becoming standard across its feature phone portfolio, itel expects to offer consumers a more convenient, durable and future-ready charging experience.

The updated feature phones with USB Type-C support will be available across itel’s product range in India.
