Samsung, fresh from unveiling its first tri-fold foldable device, is now preparing for the launch of its next-generation flagship line-up—the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung plans to debut the series early next year and will include three models: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
A recent report has now revealed the likely design of these smartphones, offering the clearest look yet at Samsung’s 2025 flagship strategy.
Android Authority reports that Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software revealed the design renders for the Galaxy S26 series.
The embedded graphics show the back panels of all three models, corroborating earlier leaks shared by well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer.
The renders show that the Galaxy S26 and S26+ sport a vertically aligned triple-camera setup housed within a raised camera island—a subtle shift from Samsung’s previous minimalist ‘floating lens’ design.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to feature three vertically stacked primary cameras accompanied by two additional sensors, maintaining its reputation as the most photography-focused model in the line-up.
Beyond the physical design, the software teardown suggests support for Super Fast Charging 3.0, indicating that Samsung may introduce significantly faster wired and wireless charging across the Galaxy S26 series. While official confirmation is pending, the upgrade would be a notable improvement, especially for power users.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to receive a new 10-bit display, capable of producing over a billion colours.
This marks an improvement over previous 8-bit panels, even though some competitors have moved to 12-bit technology.
Performance upgrades include the rumoured adoption of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, paired with 12GB RAM.
The Galaxy S26 series will keep the 5,000mAh battery but will increase charging to 60W, allowing users to charge from 0–80% in roughly 30 minutes. For the standard Galaxy S26, development details remain limited.
Early indications suggest that it may run on the Exynos 2600, reflecting Samsung’s continued push to strengthen its in-house semiconductor capabilities.
Leaked protective case images for the Galaxy S26 Ultra point to only minor design alterations compared to its predecessor. If accurate, this suggests that the broader S26 series may also focus on incremental refinements rather than radical redesigns.
As anticipation builds, the Galaxy S26 series looks set to deliver meaningful upgrades in performance, display technology, and charging speeds, even if its design evolution remains measured.
