Love Immersive Music? Apple AirPods Max 2 Promises Smarter Sound

Apple on Monday introduced the new AirPods Max 2, expanding its premium headphone lineup with improved audio performance and advanced intelligent capabilities. The device integrates the powerful Apple H2 chip, enabling enhanced sound processing and several new smart features.

The company stated that the upgraded headphones deliver stronger Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Apple claims the system blocks up to 1.5 times more background noise than the previous model. This allows users to minimise disturbances from sources such as aircraft engines or train movement while listening to music, attending calls, or focusing on work.

Apple has also refined the sound output with a high dynamic range amplifier. The enhancement produces cleaner audio with deeper bass and more balanced mid and high frequencies.

When paired with Personalised Spatial Audio, the headphones create an immersive listening environment suitable for music, films, and gaming.

The AirPods Max 2 support 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio through a USB-C connection. This feature benefits music creators using professional applications such as Logic Pro. It allows accurate audio creation and mixing with spatial sound and head-tracking technology.

The H2 chip also powers several intelligent capabilities. Adaptive Audio automatically adjusts transparency and noise cancellation based on the surroundings.

Conversation Awareness reduces audio volume when users begin speaking with someone nearby.

Voice Isolation enhances voice clarity during calls, while Live Translation introduces real-time language interpretation.

Customers in the United States and more than 30 other countries can pre-order the headphones from March 25 through Apple’s website and the Apple Store application. Shipping will commence early next month.

In India, AirPods Max 2 will start at ₹67,900. Buyers may also receive three months of complimentary Apple Music subscription.

The headphones will be available in midnight, starlight, orange, purple, and blue colour variants.
