Looking For A New Smartphone In October? Here Are The Big Launches To Watch

India’s smartphone market is set for a busy October, with Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and Motorola preparing new launches ahead of the festive shopping season.

While September saw several flagship smartphones arrive, October is expected to bring a more focused mix of premium, mid-range and battery-centric devices.

Oppo will begin the month with its F35 series on October 5. The F35 Pro is expected to emphasise battery life, display quality and selfie photography, targeting consumers seeking feature-rich options in the mid-range segment.

Vivo is scheduled to follow with the V80 and S2 FE on October 6. The company has confirmed the V80 for India, with a 7,200mAh battery and 90W charging. The smartphone is expected to place a strong focus on photography with Zeiss-tuned cameras. The S2 FE could appeal to buyers looking for a large battery and high-refresh-rate display.

Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 70 Neo in India during October, although an exact date has not yet been announced. The smartphone is reportedly set to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and a clean Android interface.

OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 16 in China on October 12. The flagship is expected to feature a next-generation Snapdragon processor. It is also expected to pack a large battery and upgraded cameras. An India launch could potentially follow later.

With Diwali approaching, these launches are likely to give consumers more options across different price segments. Brands are expected to compete closely on camera capabilities, battery capacity and display technology. They are likely to focus on overall performance as festive demand picks up.
