Instead of 15 GB, users with Workspace accounts will soon receive 1 TB of safe cloud storage.
Google will increase these users’ access to free cloud storage from 15GB to 1TB.
Google has made several significant improvements to Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite, including increased free cloud storage, improvements in email customization, and increasing its regional availability to more people worldwide.
Google emphasizes in its blog post that “you can easily work on and edit Microsoft Office files without converting them, and you can save over 100 different file kinds in Drive, including PDFs, CAD files, and photos.”
It also mentions that Google Drive now has built-in security against malware, spam, and ransom ware to make sure that users are not exposed to viruses through unintentionally opening dubious documents.
Instead of 15 GB, users with Workspace accounts will soon receive 1 TB of safe cloud storage. As the business implements this change, Google says in a blog post that every user will automatically receive an upgrade from the existing 15 GB of storage to 1 TB.
The first TB of cloud storage for any Google Workspace Individual account is free. Users don’t need to take any action. Automatically, the upgrading will take place.
Alongside, Google is also adding ability to mail merge tags like @firstname to multi-send emails. This will let each email recipient receive a unique email that feels individually crafted just for them. The multi-send emails can be unsubscribed at any point of time using the unsubscribe link which is present by default so recipients can opt out of future messages.
Several new nations and territories, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece, and Argentina, are now able to use Workspace, thanks in part to Google.
Additional features like Premium Meet, eSignatures in Google Docs, appointment scheduling, and flexible layouts in Gmail are also being worked on by the search engine behemoth.
