Google Pixel 10 Pro 5G Vs Apple iPhone 17 Pro: Battle Of The Flagships

Google will officially launch the Pixel 10 series on 21 August, while Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series on 9 September. With both flagship devices arriving within weeks, buyers must choose between Google’s latest Pixel 10 and Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple is expected to introduce major design changes in the iPhone 17 Pro. These changes include a return to an aluminium frame and an expanded triple-camera bar.

The model may retain the USB-C charging port, Action button, and camera control features. In contrast, the Pixel 10 Pro is likely to resemble its predecessor in design but may offer bold new colour options to appeal to users.

Both devices are expected to feature 6.3-inch displays with 120Hz refresh rates and peak brightness up to 3000 nits.

The iPhone 17 Pro will offer a Super Retina XDR display, while the Pixel 10 Pro will use an OLED panel.

Apple will equip the iPhone 17 Pro with a triple camera setup, including 48MP main, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses with 5x optical zoom. For selfies, it may sport a 24MP front camera.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro will likely feature a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide and telephoto lenses, and a 42MP selfie shooter. Both devices aim to deliver professional-grade photography, with Google potentially having a slight edge in front-camera resolution.

Performance & Battery

Apple will equip the iPhone 17 Pro with the A19 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. Google will power the Pixel 10 Pro with the Tensor G5 chip. It will include up to 16GB of RAM and a similar storage capacity.

Apple is expected to upgrade the iPhone 17 Pro’s battery, although it has not revealed the details. The Pixel 10 Pro will reportedly include a 4,870mAh battery supporting 29W charging.

Pricing in India

Apple will retail the iPhone 17 Pro in India at approximately ₹1,25,000 for the 256GB base model. The Pixel 10 Pro may come in slightly lower at ₹1,09,999 for the same storage variant. This could offer a more budget-friendly option without compromising on flagship features.

Both flagships showcase impressive specifications. Apple focuses on refined design and optimised performance, while Google emphasises camera capabilities and AI-driven software features.

Buyers must weigh price, brand preference, and specific feature needs to determine which device best suits their lifestyle.

With launches so close, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro 5G represent a clash of titans in the smartphone world. Prospective buyers should consider design, camera, performance, and budget before making a choice.
