Apple Teases ‘Big Week’ Of Product Launches Starting March 2

Apple Inc. has confirmed it has a ‘big week ahead’, choosing a three-day run of product announcements from March 2 instead of hosting a traditional keynote.

Leaks and industry reports indicate the company will unveil several new devices across its Mac and iPad line-ups, with speculation growing about a refreshed Studio Display.

Apple is expected to unveil new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with M5 chips, along with a more affordable MacBook in fresh colours.

The company may also introduce a new entry-level iPad, an upgraded iPad Air and possibly the budget-friendly iPhone 17e.

Desktop users are meanwhile hoping for a successor to the 27-inch 5K Studio Display launched in 2022.

Although it remains popular, competitors now offer higher refresh rates, HDR and better connectivity.

Users want a detachable power cable, and a new model could feature USB-C Power Delivery with a GaN charger to enable that upgrade.

Many users are also hoping for an additional size option, particularly a 32-inch variant for creative professionals.

Connectivity improvements are another priority, as the existing model provides only one upstream Thunderbolt port.

Adding a second Thunderbolt input would allow users to connect both a desktop and a laptop more easily.

A built-in KVM switch could further enhance productivity by enabling seamless switching between devices.

Expanded compatibility with Windows systems would also increase the monitor’s appeal.

The current Studio Display lacks HDR support and operates at a 60Hz refresh rate.

A successor featuring Mini-LED technology and a 120Hz refresh rate would bring it closer to Apple’s ProMotion standards.

Whether Apple unveils such upgrades remains uncertain, but expectations are high as March 2 approaches.
