Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has sent an encouraging message to boost the morale of the Indian deaf cricket team before their T20I series open against England at The County Ground, Derby today.
The Indian deaf cricket team traveled to England for their inaugural bilateral T20I series against the hosts, featuring seven matches scheduled from June 18 to 27.
Using X platform, Yuvraj Singh penned, “Best of luck to our Indian Deaf cricket team for the Bilateral T20 International Deaf Series! Believe in yourselves and remember that no obstacle can stop the determined. The entire nation is looking forward to your talent and victory!”
Ahead of the series, the team underwent a training camp in Delhi from June 7 to June 14. The Disability Committee of the England & Wales Cricket Board is organizing the Bilateral T20 series.
Indian deaf cricket team against England includes: Virender Singh (captain), Sai Akash (vice-captain), Umar Ashraf (wicketkeeper), Munna Sarkar, Abhishek Singh, Sudarsun E, Manish Jain, Manjeet Kumar, Sanju Sharma, Akash Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Deepak Kumar, Vivek Kumar, Pranil More, Shiv Narayan Sharma (wicketkeeper).
The England and Wales Cricket Board will livestream all matches of the series on their website and YouTube channel, along with the IDCA YouTube channel broadcasting live from England.
