In response to an old video of Inzamam making an explosive “coversion” allegation about the former Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh did not hold back.
Former Indian cricket players, such as Virender Sehwag and Irfan Pathan, have been publicly critical of the Pakistan’s team performance in the ODI World Cup in recent weeks. Pakistan who placed fifth in the competition with four victories in nine games, was eliminated in the 2023 World Cup group stage.
Though controversial, the criticism was limited to Pakistan’s on field exploits. On Tuesday, however, an old video of Inzamam-ul-Haq incited anger in India, prompting Harbhajan Singh to tweet angrily against the former Pakistan captain.
Inzamam aaserted in the video that Maulana Tariq Jameel, who was well known for reciting the namaz with the Pakistan Cricket team, was a preacher who Harbhajan used to visit.
Inzamam claimed to have brought Mohammed Kaif, Zaheer, and Irfan Pathan to the prayer sessions during a trip, aading that Harbhajan also attended the the sermons. Inzamam went on to say that the sermon had an impact on the former Indian spinner, who even declared a wish to convert.
