In the 34th over of the match, Virat Kohli almost reached his goal of 79 runs in the semi-final. Notably, during his match-winning century against South Africa earlier in the World Cup in Kolkata, Virat Kohli tied Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the most ODI hundreds with 49, and it appeared that Kohli would reach No. 50.
With 594 runs, including two hundreds and five fifties, Kohli led the league run-scoring chart.
