MS Dhoni
Much has been said about MS Dhoni’s impressive leadership abilities. Both his on-field abilities and his off-field character have proven endearing. A cricket fan has since created a Twitter thread detailing ten instances that most likely best capture Dhoni’s altruistic nature. In these touching scenes, the illustrious India captain can be seen inspiring his players, praising his squad in front of the crowd, and enticing young people to join him in the trophy celebration. The tweet quickly became popular on Twitter, with more than 171,000 views. Twitter users swamped the comments section with praise for Dhoni’s approachable personality.
In the opening video of the thread, MS Dhoni is seen engaging with a fan who compliments him on all of his awards. Several trophy-winning campaigns for both India and his Indian Premier League (IPL) team, the Chennai Super Kings, came to an end under the leadership of the former Indian captain. However, Dhoni never shied away from praising the contributions provided by his teammates as well as the captain. Even in the video, he can be heard modestly responding, “It’s the whole team.” The other nine clips, which showcase Dhoni’s personal attributes, are similar in tone.
Returning to the field of play, Dhoni just led the Chennai Super Kings to a fifth IPL championship, tying a record. In the final, they competed against the reigning champion Gujarat Titans. In order to win the game, Chennai needed to score 10 runs in the final two balls, which put them in a difficult situation. The game-winning goal was scored by Ravindra Jadeja, helping his team win the championship. The Indian captain hasn’t played in an international cricket match in years, yet he still manages to make headlines.
