Sreesanth Rips Into NZ Great: “If Virat Kohli Is Made Aware Of What You Said…”

There are only a few days left before the ODI World Cup 2023 begins in India. The Indian team is one of the top favorites to win the competition because they are the hosts. The Indian side, according to the legendary New Zealander Simon Doull, does not play “fearless cricket,” which will be a challenge for them in the championship match. S. Sreesanth disagrees with Doull, arguing that it would be entertaining to observe how the team performs against the Kiwis when they face off in the World Cup if Indian players, particularly Virat Kohli, learned from what he said.

In the 2019 edition of the competition, New Zealand, which has yet to win the ODI World Cup, defeated the Indian side but ultimately fell to England in the championship match. Speaking disparagingly of the New Zealand team, Sreesanth advised their previous members to “think before they speak.”

New Zealand is visiting India. They’ll learn whether India plays aggressive cricket or not. We’ll trample them. They were fortunate in 2019, when MS Dhoni was eliminated after taking a direct hit.

What did you do following the championship game?

“They forced a side like England, who hadn’t previously won a 50-over World Cup, to win the competition. New Zealand will never prevail. Yes, they might succeed in the future, but this time they will look foolish. Please consider your words before speaking to the media if you have the chance. He stated in a talk on Sportskeeda that if you are willing to offer, you ought to be able to accept it as well.

Sreesanth warned that India will humiliate New Zealand when the two teams play in the World Cup, issuing a clear warning to Doull and his team.
“I just want to let Simon Doull know that India will absolutely crush New Zealand. Against India, New Zealand will gather a lot of knowledge. Yes, they have performed well against us in some games, particularly in ICC competitions. But those days are long gone. It will be a lot of fun to watch that match, he remarked, if any of these cricketers find out what you said and Virat finds out.
