Rohit Sharma vs Virat Kohli In The Battle For Sachin Tendulkar’s Elite Record

The Asia Cup 2023 is quickly approaching, and all cricket lovers cannot wait to watch the competition, which begins on August 30. In the first game, Pakistan and Nepal will face off in Multan. On September 2 in Kandy, Team India will play their season opener against their bitter rivals, Pakistan. For the two famous Indian hitters, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the continental competition will hold extra significance as they strive to top Sachin Tendulkar’s illustrious record.

Is it going to be Virat or Rohit who surpasses this record of Sachin Tendulkar?

The legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar is third on the list of batters with the most runs scored, with 971 runs during the course of his 22-year Asia Cup (ODI) career. However, India’s captain Rohit Sharma is in fifth place with 745 runs, and Virat is in 12th place with 613 runs.

Rohit needs 226, and Virat needs 358 runs

In order to pass Sachin on the record of Indian hitters with the most runs in the Asia Cup (ODIs), Rohit will need 226 runs, while Virat will need 358 runs.
The Asia Cup 2023 is expected to bring out their best play, especially with the upcoming ODI World Cup in mind. Virat and Rohit are still two of the best batters of their generation.
Rohit had before said that he wouldn’t change as a person as a result of losing a game or a competition.

What has Rohit had to say regarding this?

“A person’s successes or failures cannot cause them to change overnight. I don’t believe that one outcome or one victory can alter who I am as a person. Before reporting to the Asia Cup camp in Bengaluru, Rohit granted PTI an exclusive interview. “I have not changed as a person in the last 16 years, and I don’t think anything needs to change on that front,” he said.
