Rohit Sharma and co can’t keep calm as India’s best fielder award gets ‘Legendary’ twist, See here

The 33rd match of the ODI World Cup 2023 took place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, and Shreyas Iyer won the ‘Fielder of the Match’ title after India defeated Sri Lanka by 302 runs. ‘Men in Blue’ fielding coach T. Dilip declared that the team’s effort versus Sri Lanka on the field was nothing short of remarkable as he announced the winner. Dilip dubbed Ravindra Jadeja the “silent sniper” because, despite not being the loudest player on the pitch, he excels at throwing and catching.

“The way you guys played on the field was nothing short of incredible, and I think it was shocking. A special thanks goes out to the soldiers that truly fought in the intense heat today; when returning to the field, they made sure to retain that intensity. I believe that one of our GPS navigators helps the captain make sure the correct fielders are where they need to be. However, he has also tested both sides laterally, grabbing one from the left and one from the right. Excellent work, KL Rahul.

And as everyone knows, our best fielder is constantly poised to accept such outstanding catches. I’ll share with you my gut feeling that he would accept that catch today. It was made possible by him [Ravindra Jadeja]. Finally, I believe he would refer to him as a “silent sniper.” While he may not be the loudest player on the field, Dilip claimed that he is unmatched in the throwing and catching departments.
