Neeraj Chopra Brings Gold Medal In The Diamond League, This Time In Lausanne

Olympics Gold Medalist, Neeraj Chopra is back in pace after a one-month injury lay-off. Neeraj hit the golden spot in the very first game as soon as he came back. The gold medalist registered another victory in his name in the Lausanne leg of the Diamond League on Friday. This was his 2nd win of the season in the reputed competition.

Remarkable performance of Neeraj Chopra

Though the Javelin player missed on three prominent events because of a muscle strain, he has made a remarkable comeback in the game. His astounding performance got him the Diamond League title. His throw was a massive 87.66m in the fifth round of the game.

Unfortunately, there were two fouls in his first and the fourth round but the player knew what he was doing. In the second round, his throw was 83.52m and the third throw was 85.04m. The fifth round was the winning round and the sixth throw was of 84.15m.

The Diamond League

With a best throw of 87.03 metres, Julian Weber of Germany came in second, and Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic came in third with a throw of 86.13 metres.

Chopra’s first Diamond League victory came in August of the year before when he triumphed in the Lausanne leg. A month later, in the championship game, he went on to win the Diamond League title.

The Indian gold medalist won the season-opening Diamond League match on May 5 in Doha with a throw of 88.67 metres. However, 89.94 is the personal best of Neeraj. The player has brought several laurels to the nation. The country had celebrated his victory in the Tokyo Olympics where he even broke the record and got his name written in golden letters in the history of the Olympics. India congratulates the Javelin player for his victory.
