MS Dhoni
After claiming a record-breaking fifth Indian Premier League title on Monday night, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni immediately traveled to Mumbai to seek treatment for a problematic knee. As detailed before, Dhoni went to the Kokilaben Clinic in Mumbai to counsel an expert with respect to his harmed knee which he has overseen through the beginning of the IPL 2023 season.
Dhoni checked into a Mumbai hospital and is scheduled for knee surgery on Thursday, according to the Cricbuzz website. The captain of the Chennai Super Kings is consulting with Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, who is the hospital’s director of sports medicine and specializes in sports orthopedics, according to a Cricbuzz report.
Dr. Pardiwala is a similar expert who is treating another wicketkeeper-hitter Rishabh Gasp. After a terrible car accident in December of last year, the Delhi Capitals captain was out for the entire IPL 2023 season.
The report added that Dhoni has had meetings with CSK executives prior to flying into Mumbai. In fact, the franchise has invited the Dhoni family and their team physician, Dr. Madhu Thottappil, to Mumbai.
The development was also confirmed by the franchise. He has gone to meet Dr Padriwal and he is ready to take the medical procedure course to recuperate completely for the following season,” President Kasi Viswanathan was cited as saying by the Cricbuzz site.
Stephen Fleming, the team coach, had acknowledged in the middle of the season that Dhoni was constantly bothered by an injury to his left knee during the IPL 2023 season. Dhoni has a knee injury that is limiting him in some ways, as you can see in some of his movements. Still, the player you saw is excellent for us. His wellness has forever been extremely proficient,” Fleming had said.
