Welcome, Malkhamb! MP to host Khelo India Youth Games 2022

Good news for sports lovers. Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur announces Khelo India Youth Games 2022 in the capital.

Complimentary to this, the sports initiative has been entrusted to the MP government. Now Madhya Pradesh will host Khelo India Games and the sportsters don’t have to wait long, just three more months to go. The games being held in Bhopal will commence on January 31, 2023.

Union Minister Shri Thakur handed over the Khelo India Youth Games torch to Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Equally significant is the news revealing the news which reveals that for the first time State of Sports Malkhamb has also joined the grand game gala on the soil of Madhya Pradesh. CM Shivraj hoped that Khelo India Youth Games are going to bring sports new revolution in Madhya Pradesh.

The Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Thakur announced the 5th Khelo India Youth Games-2022 in New Delhi today. The Minister handed over the torch of Khelo India Youth Games-2022 to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the announcement program held at Ashok Hotel Delhi today. And the good news this time about the games belongs to Madhya Pradesh, the state hosting Khelo India Youth Games this time.

CM Shivra thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Anurag Thakur for entrusting the opportunity to host the Games in Madhya Pradesh. Shivraj felt exulted saying that a new revolution will come in the direction of sports in Madhya Pradesh.

The MP Chief Minister says that with the determination with which Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has entrusted the responsibility of Khelo India Youth Games to Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, will fulfill it with full dedication.

As decided by the Sports Ministry, the event will be organized in 8 cities of the state namely Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Mandla, Maheshwar, and Balaghat starting from January 31 to February 11, 2023.

Speaking at the occasion Anurag Thakur said that this time Khelo India Youth Games-2022 will be organized in the heart of the country, Madhya Pradesh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, the environment of sports has been created in Madhya Pradesh, due to which many sports talents have brought laurels to India by showcasing their talent at national and international levels.

The Union Minister says that Malkhamb was once a part of the history of India, today it has been included in the Khelo India game. Everywhere this game has been praised and promoted. It was the vision of PM Modi that we should not only promote the Olympic Games but also take forward traditional sports.

He congratulated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia for making Malkhamb a state sport. Anurag Thakur held that earlier there was indifference towards sports, now parents are motivating their children and themselves to join sports to stay fit.

Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister, CM Shivraj mentioned that Khelo India Youth Games would be organized in Madhya Pradesh, which not only going to be seen around India but the world would also watch them. Shivraj Singh Chauhan assured that the state will try to fully live up to the test of faith shown by the Prime Minister in Madhya Pradesh.

The MP CM sounds elated saying that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, sports are being developed not only in cities but now in every village of India, thanks to Khelo India. Now India is doing wonders in the field of sports too.

During his welcome address, CM Shivraj said, ‘‘I welcome everyone in the heart of the country, Madhya Pradesh. We certainly are going to organize the Khelo India Youth Games with utmost dedication. The tradition of India is “Atithi Devo Bhava”, our guest is dear to us like God. We are now on committed to taking care of our players more than our lives.’’

Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised PM Modi for the biggest work done by him changing the psyche of the country. The CM felt proud saying that earlier people used to mock the country laughingly saying nothing can happen in India but the now changing environment of India promises that everything can happen in India. Our Prime Minister has proved that India can do good in every field. Now a great glorious future awaits a powerful India’s global arrival.
