Lionel Messi Takes Step Towards Hollywood As He Makes His Debut In Acting

After smashing a big hit at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Lionel Messi is now going to hit the silver screen. The popular footballer is going to make his debut in the field of acting. The soccer player will be seen in a TV show. Now, this is exciting for all the Messi Fans out there. They will watch their icon on TV again but for a different reason this time.

The project…

Messi starred in the very first episode of the second season of “Los Protectores” (“The Protectors”), an Argentine comedy-drama show that aired on Star on June 25 in Latin America. The series is about three football agents who are on the verge of going bankrupt and decide to come together when a football star shows up.

Lionel Messi will be seen as ‘the’ Lionel Messi on screen as he plays himself on the show. However, the scene is only of about 5 minutes, it is set up as the soccer player is still Paris Saint-Germain.

Story line up

The three agents, played by Andres Parra, Adrian Suar, and Gustavo Bermudez, pay him a visit in the French capital. The agents irritate Messi when they start asking for pictures, autographs, and films with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner while ostensibly discussing a scheme to aid young athletes who play for multiple European clubs.

Renzo “Mago” Magoya, one of the group, then makes a crazy suggestion in which Messi would play one game for each team in Argentina. It makes for a difficult situation because Messi is not amused by the concept and is not scared to tell them. After a while, everyone raises a glass of champagne to celebrate and the situation is resolved.

Show and its fans welcome Lionel Messi

“Throughout my career, I have given directions to many actors,” wrote Argentine actor Adrian Suar on Instagram. “I did good for some, and I ruined the career of others. But the only one who understood my directions perfectly is number one @leomessi.”

In his career, Messi has moved from Barcelona to Paris, and now to Miami. Each transfer has taken him a little closer to Hollywood each time. Coincidence? Yes.
