Actress Juhi Chawla heaped praise on Mahendra Singh Dhoni, skipper of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and former India captain, following Sunday’s IPL match at Eden Gardens between CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders. “Dhoni Dhoni” was the KKR co-owners response to the crowd in the stands. Dhoni will stop playing international cricket in August 2020 and only participate in the Indian Premier League at the moment.
Juhi said in an interview after the game that because KKR plays in Kolkata, it was expected that the sea of purple in the stands would only cheer for the franchise owned by Shah Rukh Khan. However, many in the crowd who were wearing CSK’s jersey also lavished the same affection on Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his team, who put on an electrifying performance against KKR, despite the fact that KKR fans wearing purple T-shirts dominated the stands at a packed stadium. This IPL season, Chennai prevented Kolkata from suffering a rare home defeat by defending a significant target. 49 runs separated CSK from KKR.
KKR’s co-proprietor Juhi Chawla was glad to see the observers showering love on Dhoni and his group. Juhi praised MS Dhoni and his team in an interview with ANI following the KKR-CSK match, stating, “Chennai Super Kings played well today.” It is wonderful to watch MS Dhoni play as captain. We hope that in our next match, we can do what CSK did. There were so many CSK supporters that we thought we had reached Chennai.

Aside from Juhi, actors and co-proprietor of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan, as well as his girl, Suhana Khan, have been spotted supporting KKR in ongoing IPL matches. A video of Shah Rukh meeting a fan at a KKR game in Kolkata earlier this month was posted online.
Shah Rukh is seen welcoming an exceptionally able fan in a wheelchair. As the individual commended his most recent film, Pathaan, and said thanks to him for coming to the match, Shah Rukh established a kiss on his temple. In addition, Juhi Chawla and the actor’s daughter Suhana, as well as her close friend Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, were present at the match between KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
